As part of the the Falmouth Workshop this is one of the few I was able to book onto.

I brought along some petri dishes of swabs I had taken from around my house – in particular the doorknobs

It was a fascinating workshop and above are some images taken during the day.  I am now considering making the doorknobs out of agar and swabbing with samples from door knobs in the house and to set up a time lapse of these as they deteriorate (have previously tried this but did not document- this shrivelled up into a mini version)

I would like to use the images in some way but am unsure how yet.

What was interesting spooky fact was that over Christmas my son’s eye has been attacked by a rare bacteria that has caused melting of his cornea.
