• Collaborating with Lucy Green (poetry) I wanted to animate the poetry she gave to me
  • This particular poem of death I chose as I wanted the setting of a domestic space to reflect upon the words and the experience of the reader
  • the bathroom sink set within the confines of the bathroom – a place with lock and key – a place of solitude and time to reflect
  • the addition of the hands add a sense of tension within the imagery but feel that I need to think of the sound and how to exhibit the film
  • I presented my work to my group for a crit and some suggestions include scaling up the film to project on a large wall but perhaps create a peep hole to watch the film – peepholes, gaps and spaces within walls are ways I would like people to view the film
  • need to create false walls to experiment viewing large scale projections
  • I added sound for this piece to test out for the Dickensian Exhibition – the sound is that of industrial printing press – parts slowed down  – on a loop the sound grates and reflects a groundhog feeling which allows the act of death and everyday to fuse.
