- I thought of making casts of wallpaper but whilst filming I used the net curtains as an additional layer, I played with the net curtain and thought about making a sculptural version of it in tile format to construct a box or room (inspired by Daphne Wright Domestic Shrubbery )
- I wanted to film Mary talking about her house/home/memories and during filming it reminded me of a confession where she revealed many things to me.
- I played with the idea of confessional boxes and net curtains and wanted to project the film of Mary using the shape of the confessional lattice work.
- Being restricted by time I thought that instead of making the piece in tiles I would use the lazer cutter or milling – unfortunately there was a two week waiting list for the equipment.
- I looked into casting or drilling the shapes but time wasn’t on my side
- I found the template eventually in a diy shop.
