• The space is beginning to work together – some pipes work on their own, others talk to each other – there are assemblages of pipes and speakers and solo pieces.
  • I have installed the sound and have played with placement and volume as I didn’t want it to be too overbearing.
  • I have managed to conceal all the audio, computer and projector inside the box and have concealed speakers cables under the floorboards or inside the pipes.
  • I have carried the pipes/sound outside my space and down the stairs in the hallway – the sound travels and can be heard down the stairs.  If I had more time I would continue this down another flight of stairs and experiment with different sounds.
  • I was concerned that the space was looking very formal and static – but the sound and technicolour projection of Dorothy have started to animate the space.
  • The use of the salt softens the edges and adds elements of scattering, and the appearance of light.
  • The salt is what falls on the floor, used everyday, fallen down the floorboards and brushed under the skirting and carpet
