working on the speaker boxes again – I have edged all the shapes and also created some with carpet offcuts – I like the idea of mixing up fractures of domesticity – I also think that the material will alter the sound
I played with the speaker boxes in the space using tape as a means of communicating amongst the pipes – this tape also reflected some of the themes I wanted to explore in the Back Lane West Residency – The tape is pretty shitty on the walls and keeps falling off – I would like to install this and use charcoal and chalk to depict journeys or communications between objects – if each object/speaker box represented a room in a house – then the line between them would be the line travelled by a user of that room
