I began by using the net curtain. I have experimented with filming through, casting in plaster and casting in wax.
By using salt I wanted to see the effects of laying traces of an object – leaving an index of what was there . The effect was quite mesmerising and there was a taste of salt in the air.
I thought about merging this with the teapots to lay a table with traces adorned with wax teapots with traces of people being heard from within.
I also experimented with salt and pepper as a potential base for some of my pipe/sound work
I would like to use this in conjunction with sound – to see if the sound can move the salt/pepper
