Thinking about what format my research portfolio will take and what it is that I will research. I have already started to go down many routes in my reading and artists research and need to narrow in or fine tune my thinking.
Have been thinking about what my work is about and thinking about how others use spaces/places/homes or how they depict them – some of the things that have started:
- Wes Anderson – houses/shot from outside looking in, Moonrise Kingdom, how he depicts spaces into hiding spaces or sancturies or the opposite, trains, rooms, houses, tents and how there time isn’t always chronologically depicted in the spaces.
- Mariele Neudecker and her atmospheric installations and boxes she creates of the outside inside
- Heather Benning – ‘The Dollhouse’ 2007
- Rachel Whiteread – ‘House’, ‘Ghost’
