- order metal rods to make large cheese grater
- started to make maquette for bird wings for second grater – have researched kinetic wings and found a perfect design which I am trying to recreate and adapt (www.mymodernnet.com)
- looked at using balsa wood, cables/buttons, string/cables – looked at elastic band wind up mechanism.
- decided to make first grater without wings (otherwise process will be too long)
- First grater is going to have screenprint of Cameron on the front and Osborne on the back – mainly following thinking of how the grater in my house is probably the most used kitchen utensil – conversations around the table flit between fart jokes and politics -then thinking about the everyday being affected by the distant policy makers – “personal is political”
- Have spoken to print – who have suggested making an etching so that there is no risk of problems when welding.
- have practised ways of cutting and shaping metal for when image is finished.
- Would like to make some dolls but need to finish work for the exhibition first
- Shoes – perhaps place on wooden frames filled with different textures, grass, sand, glass, mud
- want to paint with my lady with many limbs
