He stands no higher than the top of my thigh. Standing there he looks a bit scruffy and gangly like a teenager. His long legs look disproportionate to his head. His chest expands and his waist is tiny as if it has been squeezed with a corset. His fur is tan in colour, perhaps beige, fawn or ginger depending on the light. His legs are covered in wispy soft hair with flecks of white and bits of dirt. At the end of his tall legs, long nails peek out and tip tap their sound on the road when he is walking. He is mostly covered in a soft, warm fur coat yet underneath the softness there is just enough skin and muscle to cover his bones. On closer inspection underneath his coat he bears scars, his skin in small patches is taut from grazes, wounds and adventures.

His tail slopes to the ground with tassels of hair. Either side of his tail are patches of grey bald leathery skin, where his alopecia creates a saddlebag appearance from behind. When he stands and the right light is behind him, the skin that joins his torso to his legs is so thin that it appears transparent and fragile.

His face is beautiful. He has the darkest, blackest, shiniest and slightly upturned nose – it is moist to signify good health. His ears are animated, with the ability to stand upright upon his head or fold neatly close and safe. If you touch his ears they are delicately soft and soothing enough to bring you reassurance. From his long and pointy snout are the whiskers of old wise men protruding from tiny black dimples.

He pulls back his lips, bears his teeth to show decaying teeth. Some react in fear but this is merely a smile from him for special people, a goofy very silly grin. Whilst very sweet, this smile eventually emits a disgusting, foul, arsehole smell.

Yet to look at him the thing that stands out the most are his eyes. They are a deep dark brown/black colour with flecks of ochre surrounding the large pupils. Around his eyes it looks as if somebody has applied black eyeliner to define them, with delicate eyelashes surrounding them. They appear never ending, like deep pools. If you spend a little more time looking into his eyes you seem to understand everything.
