This day was about looking at painting. Following a talk on various paintings and discussions about how the paintings have been constructed we were given a small section to investigate and produce, with the use of acrylics, our own painting. We were given until 4pm when as a group we assembled our individual pieces to create a completed painting.
I lack confidence in painting and I found this process really useful. It made me really look closely and try out different colour mixing, mark making and layering. It was great to collaboratively assemble and crit the work. As a group it was interesting to see how differently everybody works but also how the group worked together.
