The pipes and drains and dirt are still of real curiosity to me – have bought pipes and played with making sculptures with them.
Thinking about casting with them or making moulds of them or with them and casting objects, words or dirt in them. Experimented a bit below. I left the mud to dry inside the pipes but it crumbles to dust – may have to experiment with a couple of different ways to do this. Have been to the woods I visit and dug up dirt to use from there. Am drying some out to use in future.
I think that the paper and the mud are successful and worth pursuing. I might also try using resin. The idea that the dirt that is carried away from our houses can be seen is interesting.
