And Stop smacking your lips
- Everyday object of the cutlery and association with food and eating
- Still have yet to edit my video on eating but not quite sure if it’s time well spent at present
- Initially I squashed my own cutlery with the hope of printing with items from my own kitchen – but as they were stainless steel they would be impossible to etch.
- After discussion with Tom I decided to make my own cutlery out of zinc – used a soft ground and applied finger prints over the objects before putting into the acid and printing
- I enjoyed making the pieces and enjoy their non functional flatness – the pieces after printing began to spark questions over how people would place their cutlery settings and the distinction between working class settings and upper/middle classes.
- Everyone has their own way of how to set their table.
